Week 20 Fantasy Baseball Trade Value Charts & Trade Analyzer
Midway through Week 20 of the fantasy baseball season, 1B Anthony Rizzo and OF Mookie Betts are the hottest trade targets to buy low. Both players are playing better as of late, and are ranked well-below other players at their respective positions who are simply not as good.
In turn, we’ll take a look at SS Trea Turner and 3B Austin Riley as players who are at the top of the trade value charts for their respective positions but could be sold at a particularly high price this week. Now into mid-August, fantasy baseball trades will become harder and harder to come by.
Let’s dive in.
Week 20 Fantasy Baseball Buy-Low Candidates
1B Anthony Rizzo, New York Yankees (14.97)
Over the last week, Yankees' first baseman Anthony Rizzo has seen his trade value drop by -1.8 points. He is now approximately 11 trade-value points below his season-high trade value of roughly 26. Over the last 15 games, Rizzo has recorded 11 hits for six home runs and 11 RBIs. He also recorded 10 runs and had seven total bases through this stretch. Last night, he hit a game-tying solo home run (28th HR of the season for Rizzo), which brought his regular season OPS up to .832.
In total, Rizzo has 82 hits this season for 68 RBIs. Though his .219 BA this season is significantly lower than his career BA of .265, he is making up for it with his above-average OPS and high home run count, netting him plenty of RBIs throughout the 2022 season.
OF Mookie Betts, Los Angeles Dodgers (14.60)
Dodgers’ star outfielder has struggled over the last seven games. Throughout this stretch, he batted .214 and had only six hits and two solo home runs, netting him just two RBIs. At the moment, Betts’ trade value has slipped down to less than 15 points in the MLB Trade Value Charts after peaking at approximately 26 points this season.
Betts’ trade value is as low as it can get. He currently has lower trade values than Harold Ramirez (15.88) and the injured Kyle Schwarber (16.56), who is currently dealing with Calf issues. Even Bryce Harper (20.30), who hasn’t played since June 25 is way ahead of Betts in the outfielder's MLB Trade Value Charts. While Harper over Betts might be a stretch, Mookie is certainly more valuable than Ramirez and Schwarber. This season, Betts has 86 runs, 111 hits, 27 home runs, and 61 RBIs. His .343 OBP and .876 OPS further demonstrate how undervalued Betts is at the moment. He is likely the best fantasy baseball player to shop-for low as a trade target in Week 20.

SP Logan Webb, San Francisco Giants (18.83)
In his last start at the mound on August 13, Logan Webb pitched 8.0 innings to produce nine strikeouts and no earned runs. He pumped out approximately 30 FPTS for fantasy owners who started him last night. In three starts between July 22 and August 1, Webb struggled allowing 11 combined runs and only producing 13 FPTS in total. Between June 14 and July 17, Webb was red-hot. He produced at least 20 FPTS in five of his seven starts during this stretch. This season, Webb is pitching very well. He currently has an 11-5 record for a 3.00 ERA. While he slumped in the three starts before August. 13’s game against the Pirates, Webb has had a very strong season. His last start should encourage fantasy owners to pick him up as he is more than nine points below his season-high trade value of approximately 26 points. Notably, Webb seems like a much better option than at least SPs Merrill Kelly (19.26) and Framber Valdez (19.83), who are currently ahead of him in the MLB Trade Value Charts for starting pitchers.
Week 20 Fantasy Baseball Sell-High Candidates
SS Trea Turner, Los Angeles Dodgers (18.95)
Trea Turner has been performing slightly worse as of late than he has this season on average. Though he is batting .304 this season with an OBP of .343, he’s only batted .274 and had a .288 OBP over his last 15 games. Turner hasn’t produced more than two fantasy points in each of his last five games. Still, he is the shortstop with the highest fantasy trade value at the moment. And is nearing his season-high trade value of approximately 20 points. As a result, you could consider liquidating Turner for a strong but inexpensive shortstop and another fantasy player to add to your bench in Week 20.
Consider the following trade scenario:
You could play around with a couple of options of players. Here we consider SS Gleyber Torres (8.11) who has been playing very well for the Yankees as of late. You could acquire him to replace Turner as your starting shortstop. In addition, that leaves enough trade value to propose a trade for any other player worth targeting on the roster of Turner’s current fantasy owner with approximately 10 trade value points.
While Turner is one of the best shortstops in the majors, his trade value is so inflated this week that you could sell him high enough to get a strong shortstop in return and another fantasy baseball player to squeeze into your lineup.
3B Austin Riley, Atlanta Braves
Austin Riley currently has the highest trade value of all players at the position in the 3B MLB Trade Value Charts, even though he’s dropped -1.5 points in the charts over the last week. He’s having an excellent season, batting .288 for 132 hits, 30 homers, and 74 RBIs. However, he’s played badly as of late. Over the last 15 games, he’s batted .203 and has only recorded 12 hits for 59 ABs throughout this stretch. He’s played even worse over the last seven games, where he’s batted .120 and only had three hits for 25 ABs. Riley hasn’t gotten an RBI since August 9. He hasn’t recorded at least one RBI in 11 of his last 12 games. Riley is slumping hard right now, yet remains the third baseman with the highest trade value. In his slump, you might consider trading him away for Jose Ramirez (22.88), Manny Machado (21.17), or Nolan Arenado (20.44) who are all hitting better than Riley at the moment. While the Braves 3B is having the best season of all major leaguers at the position this season, his ongoing slump should be of concern to fantasy owners who might consider trading him away for a third baseman ranked slightly below him in the trade value charts right now.
