Discussing some of the best hitting performances from June 17.

Cardinals 7, Marlins (12 inn.)

Masyn Winn hit a two-run home run in the 12th inning to help St. Louis prevail. Michael Siani added a solo blast earlier in the contest. Winn had two hits and runs scored total, while Siani also walked.

Ivan Herrera drove in two runs on two hits and scored once for the Cardinals. Brendan Donovan drove in a run on two hits, while Paul Goldschmidt had two knocks, a walk and a run scored.

Bryan De La Cruz hit a three-run home run for Miami. 

Jazz Chisholm Jr. drove in a run on two hits, walked three times and scored once for the Marlins. Tim Anderson added two hits and scored once. 

Phillies 9, Padres 2

Kyle Schwarber hit two home runs (two two-run blasts) to power Philadelphia. Alec Bohm belted a three-run homer. Schwarber also walked twice, while Bohm had three total knocks.

Rafael Marchan drove in a pair on four hits and also scored twice for St. Louis. Brandon Marsh had two hits, a walk and two runs scored.

Trea Turner and Bryce Harper each had two hits and a run scored for Philly. Nick Castellanos had two hits as well.

Manny Machado had two hits and a run scored for San Diego. Ha-Seong Kim had a hit and a walk.

Pirates 4, Reds 1

Oneil Cruz drove in two runs on a hit and scored once for Pittsburgh. Bryan Reynolds had two hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Andrew McCutchen had one hit, a walk and two runs scored for the Pirates. Rowdy Tellez added two knocks.

Elly De La Cruz had three of the seven Cincinnati hits - he also stole his 37th base of the season. Spencer Steer drove in a run on two knocks.

Red Sox 7, Blue Jays 3

Tyler O'Neill hit two solo home runs for Boston. He also walked in the contest. 

Boston’s Rafael Devers and Ceddanne Rafaela each added a solo home run. Devers had finished with two RBIs, while Rafaela had two total hits and runs, along with a walk.

Romy Gonzalez had two hits and a walk for the Red Sox. Rob Refsnyder had a hit, walk and RBI.

Justin Turner and Davis Schneider each had a solo home run for Toronto. Turner finished with two total hits and runs scored, along with a walk. 

Ernie Clement had three knocks for the Blue Jays. 

Braves 2, Tigers 1

Ozzie Albies hit a solo home run for Atlanta. Austin Riley tallied two hits and scored the team’s second run.

Mark Canha had two hits and a walk for Detroit. Riley Greene had one hit, two walks and he drove in the team’s lone run.

Giants 7, Cubs 6

Thairo Estrada hit a go-ahead three-run home in the top of the ninth inning to lift San Francisco to victory. Heliot Ramos and Patrick Bailey each hit solo home runs.

Estrada finished with two hits, a walk and four RBIs. Ramos had two total hits, while Bailey had two knocks and a walk.

Mike Yastrzemski had two hits, one walk, an RBI and a run scored for the Giants. Jorge Soler got on base three times and scored twice. Michael Conforto walked twice.

Ian Happ hit a three-run home run for Chicago, while Michael Busch added a two-run blast. Happ had two total hits and a walk, while also walking once.

Seiya Suzuki had two hits, an RBI and a run scored for the Cubs. Nico Hoerner added two knocks and scored once. Patrick Wisdom and Mike Tauchman each had a hit and walk, with Wisdom also scoring once and stealing a base.

Mets 14, Rangers 2

DJ Stewart belted a three-run homer for New York, while Brandon Nimmo added a two-run shot. Stewart had two hits and runs scored total, while Nimmo had three hits, four RBIs and two runs scored.

Francisco Lindor led the Mets with four hits - he drove in two runs and scored three times. Pete Alonso drove in two runs on three hits and a walk, while also scoring once.

Mark Vientos had three hits and two runs scored for New York. Francisco Alvarez drove in two runs on three hits and also scored once. Jeff McNeil had a hit, walk and RBI and two runs scored.

Robbie Grossman hit a two-run home run among his two total hits for Texas. Ezequiel Duran had two knocks as well.

Dodgers 9, Rockies 5

Shohei Ohtani had three hits, a walk, an RBI, a stolen base and two runs scored for Los Angeles. Jason Heyward drove in two runs on three hits and scored once, while Miguel Rojas had three hits, an RBI and two runs scored.

Freddie Freeman had one hit, walked five times and scored twice for the Dodgers. Will Smith drove in two runs on a hit. Cavan Biggio and Teoscar Hernandez each got on base twice and drove in a run, with Biggio also scoring once.

Hunter Goodman hit a two-run home run for Colorado, while Jacob Stallings and Greg Jones added a solo blast each. Elehuris Montero got on base two times, drove in a run and scored once.

Angels 5, Brewers 3

Zach Neto hit a two-run home run for Los Angeles. Luis Guillorme and Nolan Schanuel each had two hits, an RBI and a run scored. 

Jake Bauers hit a two-run home run for Milwaukee, while Brice Turang added a solo blast. Turang had two total hits. Gary Sanchez reached base twice.
