Mariners 5, Rays 2
George Kirby improved to 7-5 after striking out seven over six strong innings on the hill. He allowed a run on four hits and no walks. Kirby has a 3.35 earned run average for the season.
Andres Munoz allowed a run in the ninth inning before Trent Thornton came on to get the final three outs and his first save.

Ryan Feltner took the loss and fell to 1-7. He gave up four runs on seven hits and a walk over six frames, while striking out two.
Royals 5, Marlins 1
Brady Singer started for Kansas City and allowed a run on five hits and a walk over 7 1/3 innings. He struck out five and has a 3.12 ERA now.
Angel Zerpa got the next two outs and the win.
Valente Bellozo started and worked five scoreless innings for Miami. He allowed two hits and no walks, while striking out two.
Anthony Bender and Andrew Nardi each got holds before Huascar Brazoban was tagged with a blown save and loss after allowing five runs in 2/3 of an inning.

Dallas Keuchel made his Milwaukee debut and allowed five runs on eight hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out four.
Jared Koenig got his seventh win after working a scoreless 10th inning.
Nathan Eovaldi started and pitched the first seven innings for Texas. He allowed five runs on nine hits and a walk, while striking out four. He’s got a 3.45 ERA for the season.
Jacob Latz eventually took the loss after allowing an unearned run in the 10th frame.

Roansy Contreras worked the first three innings for Los Angeles, allowing a run on four hits and two walks, while striking out a pair.
Matt Moore was the winning pitcher after working a scoreless frame.

Grayson Rodriguez tossed the first seven innings to get the win and improve to 9-3 for Baltimore. He allowed two runs on five hits, while striking out four and walking none.
Cionel Perez got a hold before Craig Kimbrel picked up his 17th save.
Carlos Carrasco worked the first five innings for Cleveland. He gave up two runs on six hits and two walks, while striking out three.
Xzavion Curry took the loss after allowing two runs on three hits over three innings. He struck out a batter and walked none.
Mets 12, Yankees 2
Sean Manaea worked five scoreless innings and got his fifth win for the Mets. He allowed two hits and five walks, while striking out three.
Adrian Houser got a save after tossing three scoreless innings to end the game.
Luis Gil allowed five runs on four hits and four walks over 4 1/3 innings. He struck out two and saw his ERA jump to 3.15.

Bryce Elder fell to 1-3 after taking the loss for Atlanta. He allowed two runs on four hits, while striking out four and walking none in six innings of work.

Gavin Stone tossed a complete game shutout for Los Angeles. He allowed four hits, walked none and struck out seven. Stone is now 9-2 with a 2.73 ERA.
Erick Fedde took the loss and slipped to 5-3 on the season. He allowed four runs on five hits and a walk over six innings, while striking out five.
Twins 8, Diamondbacks 3
Simeon Woods Richardson improved to 3-1 after allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over 5 1/3 innings. He struck out four batters and now has a 3.41 ERA.
Ryne Nelson fell to 5-6 after allowing six runs on 10 hits over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out three and walked none.
Giants 4, Cubs 3
Hayden Birdsong started for San Francisco and gave up three runs on six hits and three walks over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out five batters.
Luke Jackson pitched next and got the win. Erik Miller and Taylor Rogers each earned holds before Camilo Doval tossed a scoreless ninth and got his 14th save.
Hayden Wesneski allowed three runs on two hits and a walk over four innings for Chicago. He struck out seven batters.
Drew Smyly worked next and took his fifth loss of the season after allowing a run.
