Top Hitters

San Diego Padres’ Xander Bogaerts, Seattle Mariners’ Luke Raley, Texas Rangers’ Josh Jung, Tampa Bay Rays’ Jonny DeLuca and Los Angeles Angels’ Zach Neto all posted three hits on Thursday.

Bogaerts had two singles and a home run. He drove in a pair and scored once.

Raley had two doubles and a home run. He drove in two, scored once and was a strikeout victim.

Jung had three singles on the day. He didn’t record any other stats.

DeLuca had two singles and a double for his hits. He scored twice and struck out once.

Neto had three singles in his game. He also didn’t record any other stats.

Oakland Athletics’ Brent Rooker homered twice. He drove in three runs, scored twice and struck out three times.

Texas’ Adolis Garcia homered and drove in three runs. He also walked once, scored a run and was a strikeout victim.

Washington Nationals’ Andres Chaparro hit a homer, drove in three runs and was plunked by a pitch. He scored once and struck out twice.

San Francisco Giants’ Patrick Bailey drove in three runs on a single and double.

Pittsburgh Pirates’ Nick Gonzales singled, walked and drove in three runs. 

Minnesota Twins’ Edouard Julien drove in three runs on a home run. He scored once and was a strikeout victim.

Pittsburgh’s Yasmani Grandal had a single and two walks. He drove in a run, scored once and was a strikeout victim.

Pittsburgh’s Oneil Cruz had a double and two walks. He was also hit by a pitch and struck out once.

Oakland’s Seth Brown had two singles and a sacrifice fly. He drove in a run along the way.

Washington’s Nasim Nunez had a single, double and a sacrifice. He scored once and also walked.

Cincinnati’s Jake Fraley had a single, double and walk on Thursday. He also stole a base.

Houston Astros’ Jeremy Pena had two singles and a stolen base.

San Francisco’s Tyler Fitzgerald had a single, double and stolen base. He also struck out twice.

Miami Marlins’ Nick Fortes had two hits and a walk. He singled twice and also was a strikeout victim.

Top Starting Pitchers

San Diego’s Martin Perez had the longest scoreless outing of the inning, working 6 1/3 innings. He allowed five hits and one walk, while striking out five batters. He didn’t earn a decision.

Philadelphia Phillies’ Ranger Suarez earned a win after tossing five scoreless frames. He gave up three hits and two walks, while striking out four batters.

Houston’s Hunter Brown also walked away with a no decision despite working six scoreless innings. He allowed four hits and one walk, while punching out six.

Cincinnati’s Rhett Lowder took a no decision after firing 6 1/3 scoreless frames. He surrendered four walks and four hits, while striking out three batters.

Colorado’s Austin Gomber got a win after allowing a run on five hits over eight innings. He struck out six and walked none.

Texas’ Cody Bradford was also a winner after tossing six strong innings. He gave up a run on two hits and two walks, while striking out four.

Arizona Diamondbacks’ Merrill Kelly took a no decision despite striking out eight over seven innings. He allowed two runs on six hits and no walks.

Atlanta Braves’ Reynaldo Lopez took the loss after allowing two runs on five hits over six frames. He struck out 11 and walked none.

Seattle’s Bryan Woo struck out six over five innings and picked up a win. He gave up two runs on eight hits and no walks.

Minnesota’s Pablo Lopez also got a win after working 6 2/3 innings. He allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk, while punching out nine.

Tampa Bay’s Taj Bradley struck out 10 over seven innings, but took the loss after allowing four runs. 

Top Relief Pitchers

Texas’ Kirby Yates. Pittsburgh’s Aroldis Chapman, Philadelphia’s Matt Strahm, Colorado’s Tyler Kinley, Minnesota’s Jhoan Duran, Cincinnati’s Alexis Diaz and Detroit’s Tyler Holton all earned saves on the day.

Yates struck out the three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Chapman struck out one of the two batters he faced in his outing.

Strahm retired the three batters he faced, striking out one of them.

Kinley had two punchouts in the three batters he faced.

Duran also had two strikeouts in a three-batter inning.

Diaz worked a 1-2-3 inning as well, finishing with one strikeout.

Holton allowed a hit in his inning, while not recording a strikeout.

San Francisco’s Landen Roupp worked four scoreless innings out of the bullpen. He allowed just one hit and two walks, while striking out five.

Angels’ Ryan Zeferjahn struck out two batters over two scoreless innings. He worked around two hits.

Texas’ David Robertson struck out three batters in his scoreless inning of work. He allowed one hit.

Atlanta’s Aaron Bummer struck out three batters over 1 1/3 innings. He allowed a hit and a walk.

San Francisco’s Ryan Walker earned a win after punching out three batters in 1 1/3 innings. He walked one batter in his outing.
