Lamar Jackson Fantasy Outlook
The Ravens are coming off a loss to the Cleveland Browns in week 10. Lamar Jackson had a down game by his standards, throwing for just 223 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions while completing 13 of his 23 passes.
Jackson was sacked three times in the contest, but did add 41 rushing yards on eight attempts.
Jackson’s completion percentage was his lowest mark of the season so far. Even so, he still topped 200 passing yards for the sixth time in 10 weeks. Jackson has thrown a touchdown in all but four contests. He’s reached 35 rushing yards in all but two games.
The Bengals’ defense has been average in slowing opposing quarterbacks, allowing 17 fantasy points per week. Jackson is the second-ranked QB in the week 11 projections.
Running Back Fantasy Outlook
The Ravens’ backfield is a fluid situation, so I think it’s only appropriate to look at last week’s totals.
Gus Edwards led the team in snaps (28) and touches (12). He rushed 11 times for 24 yards and a touchdown, while adding a 4-yard reception.
Justice Hill was on the field for 14 snaps, but got only two touches. He rushed twice for 7 yards.
Keaton Mitchell played 13 snaps and made the most of his four touches. Mitchell rushed three times for 34 yards and a touchdown, while catching one of his two targets for 32 yards.
The Bengals’ defense is also average against opposing running backs, allowing 21 fantasy points per week. Edwards is the top-ranked Baltimore back in the projections, sitting 23rd as of the time of this publication. Mitchell sits 37th, while Hill is 53rd.
Wide Receiver Fantasy Outlook
Rookie Zay Flowers is Baltimore’s leading wideout this season. He’s been targeted 68 times, making 50 grabs for 545 yards and one score. He’s caught eight of his nine red zone targets, so his one touchdown is a bit surprising.
Odell Beckham is the second-best fantasy option. He’s caught 20 of his 35 targets for 258 yards and two scores. Beckham has four red zone catches on six targets. He only played 18 offensive snaps last week, by far his fewest mark of the season.
Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor played more snaps last week. Bateman has 19 grabs on 29 targets this season, going for 205 yards and no scores. Agholor has caught 18 of his 25 targets for 224 yards and two touchdowns.
Devin Duverney has been limited in practice by a hamstring injury, so watch his status as the game approaches. He’s got four catches on nine targets for the season, tallying just 18 yards.
Shocker here, but Cincy is average against opposing receivers, allowing 34 fantasy points per week. Flowers is ranked 30th for the upcoming week, while Beckham is the other Baltimore receiver ranked in the top 70, coming in 55th.
Tight End Fantasy Outlook
The reason Baltimore can get by without more receiver help is because Mark Andrews is the tight end. Andrews is one of the best tight ends in the game, and is putting together another big season.
Andrews has 521 yards and six touchdowns on 43 catches and 59 targets. He’s the team’s most-targeted pass catcher in the red zone, and he’s caught nine of his 13 targets.
Isaiah Likely also should play a decent amount, but he only has nine catches on 10 targets for 89 yards and no scores this season.
The Bengals’ defense struggles against tight ends, allowing 15 points per week. Andrews is the No. 2 tight end for week 11, behind just Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce.
Kicker and Defense Outlook
Justin Tucker does the kicking for the Ravens, and surprisingly, he’s had a bit of a down season. Tucker has made 17 of his 21 field goals and also has a missed extra point among his 30 attempts.
Tucker has only missed field goals over 50 yards, but his season long is also only 50. He’s ranked 12th for week 11.
The Ravens’ defense is second in the league in terms of total yards allowed per game. They are in the top half of the league against the pass and run. Baltimore allows the fewest points in the league.
Cincy’s offense ranks are average to poor in most statistics, but that’s mostly because of a slow start to the season. The Bengals have scored at least 24 points the past three games.
Baltimore’s defense comes in 14th in the rankings for week 11.
Who to Start in Week 11
There’s not really any tough matchups ahead for any position, but again, this is a different Bengals team than the numbers show. I expect a tight and pretty low-scoring contest between the division rivals.
I think the team’s will combine for over 46 points, but I like the Bengals to win, as they need this win more. Something like a 27-24 or 24-23 finish seems right.
I still like the idea of starting several Baltimore players, starting with Jackson. He’s one of the best fantasy quarterbacks in the game and I like him as a top-five option this week. Hopefully he can limit the negative plays, and that alone should allow him to finish as one of the best QBs.
At running back, I’m only confidently starting Edwards in all leagues. He might not dominate the snaps and touches, but I think he scores another touchdown for a respectable fantasy outing. I’d only feel great about starting Mitchell in deeper leagues. I’d avoid Hill in all formats - I just don’t trust the team to involve him in a close game, with last week’s numbers being a perfect example of that.
Flowers is the only Baltimore receiver I like, but would only confidently start him in deeper leagues. He’s an option in standard leagues, but I’d have to see your other options before making a final decision. I think Beckham plays more snaps this week and would consider him as a starter in deeper leagues. I’d try to avoid any other receiver on the team in all formats.
Andrews is the Raven I’m most confident in. Start him no matter what, as I like his chances at being the top fantasy TE in week 11. I would not start Likely in any format, even with the favorable matchup.
I think Tucker should get a decent amount of kicking opportunities in this contest, so I’m good with starting him, even with some of his misses in mind.
Baltimore’s defense has been strong this season, but some blowout wins inflate their numbers. I wouldn’t feel great if I had to start them, as the Bengals’ offense is capable of going off any week.
