Top Targets
Cleveland’s David Njoku led the way with 17 targets in week 13. He made nine grabs for just 52 yards, but scored twice to deliver a big fantasy score. Njoku is a good weekly starting option and he should be in lineups just about every week at this point.
Atlanta’s Drake London and Chicago’s D.J. Moore had 16 targets each.
London had nine grabs for 86 yards, while Moore went for 97 yards and a score on eight catches. London is the safer fantasy starting option, but Moore can deliver breakout weeks and better fantasy showings at any time too.
Las Vegas’ Brock Bowers and Cleveland’s Elijah Moore had 14 targets each.
Bowers went for 140 yards and a score on 10 catches. He’s been heavily involved on offense most of the season and might finish as the top fantasy TE this year. He needs to be playing every week.
Moore had 111 yards on eight grabs. Cleveland threw the ball a ton on Monday night, so several players had big games - there’s still another one that we haven’t mentioned. Moore isn’t the safest starting option, but in the right matchups, he’s got starting value.
Cleveland’s Jerry Jeudy, New York Giants’ Malik Nabers and Kansas City’s Travis Kelce all had 13 targets.
Jeudy erupted for 235 yards and a touchdown on eight receptions. He’s the Cleveland pass catcher with the most fantasy upside, and I’d keep starting him every week as a result.
Nabers had 69 yards on eight grabs. While the yardage wasn’t all that great, Nabers remains heavily involved and needs to be starting just about every week.
Kelce had seven grabs for 68 yards in week 13. It was a good sign for Kelce, who had just 12 combined targets over the previous two weeks. Kelce isn’t the fantasy star he once was, but he’s still a good weekly option.
Arizona’s Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride, Jacksonville’s Parker Washington, Los Angeles Chargers’ Ladd McConkey, Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans and New York Jets’ Davante Adams all had 12 targets this week.
Harrison had 60 yards and a score on five receptions. It was good to see Harrison get going a bit, maybe signaling a hot streak down the stretch.
McBride stayed hot with 96 yards on 12 grabs. He had 15 targets in his previous game, so I’d keep starting him with a ton of confidence.
Washington broke out with 103 yards and a score on six grabs. Jacksonville needs some pass catchers to step up down the stretch, and Washington might be that guy. He’s a possible starting option in all leagues going forward.
McConkey has emerged as the top pass catcher in LA. He had 117 yards on nine catches this past week. His production isn’t likely to stay consistent, but he’s definitely the top LA pass catcher for fantasy purposes.
Evans had 118 yards and a score on eight grabs. Evans is settling in after missing time with an injury. With no Chris Godwin around, you should expect Evans to keep delivering big fantasy totals every week.
Adams had 66 yards and a touchdown on five receptions in week 13. Adams has started to emerge as the top Jets’ pass catcher, and I’d have more confidence in him over Garrett Wilson at this point. There’s still some concern because of the Jets’ offense overall, but I’d be fine starting Adams in any format until further notice.
Houston’s Nico Collins, Las Vegas’ Jakobi Meyers and Miami’s Jonnu Smith all finished with 11 targets.
Collins had 119 yards on eight receptions. He’s starting to settle back in as the top Houston pass catcher, and fantasy owners should have enough confidence to keep starting him every week.
Meyers had 97 yards on six grabs. He had 15 targets in his previous game, so Meyers appears to be taking off a bit as a fantasy player. He’s not a must-start player at this point, but I’d imagine he works his way into a ton of starting lineups moving forward.
Smith stayed hot with 113 yards on 10 receptions. He’s gotten at least eight targets in three straight games and needs to be starting until he cools off.
Carolina’s Adam Thielen, Jets’ Wilson, Jacksonville’s Brian Thomas Jr. and Cincinnati’s Tee Higgins all had 10 targets.
Thielen finished with 99 yards and a score on eight grabs. He’s still settling in after missing a ton of time with an injury, but Thielen already looks like a decent flex-level option, at least.
Wilson had just 41 yards on five receptions. He’s been targeted plenty over the past few games, but the fantasy scores haven’t reflected that. I’d probably still want to keep playing Wilson, especially in favorable matchups, but I’d temper my expectations, and also say he’s not a for-sure starter.
Thomas had 76 yards and a score on four grabs. Thomas is the No. 1 wideout in Jacksonville, but because of the offense’s struggles and inconsistencies, he’s more a flex-level starting option than a locked-in starter right now. Having Washington heat up could open some things up for Thomas.
Higgins had 69 yards and a score on five catches. He’s gotten plenty of targets over the past couple games, and delivered two big-time fantasy scores. Higgins is a good weekly starting option, even as the Bengals continue to lose games.
Snap Count Analysis
Tennessee’s Calvin Ridley and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine both played 100% of their teams offensive snaps in week 13. Ridley had just 45 yards on two grabs and seven targets, while Westbrook-Ikhine had 61 yards and two touchdowns on three catches and eight targets.
Ridley and Westbrook-Ikhine are not the safest starting options out there, but by playing every offensive snap, fantasy owners should be pretty confident that they can deliver week after week.
New England’s Kayshon Boutte and Atlanta’s Ridley played 99% of their teams' snaps.
Boutte had 41 yards on three grabs and six targets. He’s an OK deep league starting option, but it’d have to be a pretty deep league. Ridley playing that much makes him a safe weekly starter too.
Adams played in 97% of his team’s snaps, and that high snap count shows why he’s a good weekly starting option at this point. Wilson was at 97% also, so that’s why I don’t want to write him off yet.
Chicago’s Moore, Cincinnati’s Ja'Marr Chase and Las Vegas’ Tre Tucker all were at 97% as well.
Moore has a lot of competition for targets, but by playing nearly every snap, he’s a better option than his teammates. Chase finished with 86 yards and a score on six grabs and nine targets, and remains a great weekly option. Tucker only had one catch, but it was a 58-yard touchdown - he’s not a good starting option, but he has some starting appeal in deeper leagues.
Thielen got a touch on 16% of his snaps, showing there’s a connection between him and Bryce Young. That’s another reason why I like Thielen down the stretch.
Detroit’s Jameson Williams got a tough on 13% of his snaps. He’s more of a boom-or-bust fantasy player, but he’s been targeted enough on his snaps to trust most weeks.
Carolina’s Tommy Tremble played every offensive snap for Carolina with Ja'Tavion Sanders out of the lineup. Tremble had 77 yards on five catches and eight targets this week, and could be a sleeper in his next game if Sanders is out again.
Chicago’s Cole Kmet played 99% of the team’s snaps in week 13. He only had 26 yards on three grabs and targets though, so while he continues to play just about every snap, his fantasy production hasn’t been nearly as consistent.
Bowers was targeted on 23% of his snaps this week, while Njoku and Smith were at 22% each and Kelce at 20%. That just shows how strong of fantasy starting options they are every week, and that fantasy owners should have a lot of trust in them.
