Wrobleski shines as rotation savior for first-place Dodgers
Wrobleski has been sensational lately, highlighted by a dominant seven-inning, one-hit performance with nine strikeouts and no walks over his last start. He currently slots in as a crucial member of the starting rotation for the first-place Dodgers (40-22), especially with key rotation pieces like Tyler Glasnow and Blake Snell currently on the injured list. His sharp fastball velocity bump has unlocked significant swing-and-miss upside over his recent outings.
On the season, the young left-hander has posted an excellent 2.89 ERA and 1.01 WHIP across 10 starts. While our rest-of-season model projects a more conservative 4.17 ERA and 1.32 WHIP due to regression fears, his improved command and strong 2.86 K/BB ratio suggest he can continue to outperform expectations. He looks like a highly sustainable mid-rotation fantasy asset as long as he maintains his current form.
Wrobleski is scheduled for one remaining start this week on June 4th on the road against division-rival Arizona. He faces Ryne Nelson, who carries a high 5.00 ERA, making this an incredibly favorable matchup for the Dodgers' red-hot southpaw. Fantasy managers should confidently lock him into lineups. Verdict: Start.
