Top Pitchers

Philadelphia Phillies’ Cristopher Sanchez tossed a complete game shutout over the weekend. He allowed three hits and no walks over his nine innings of work, while striking out nine batters.

Milwaukee Brewers’ Freddy Peralta allowed a run over seven innings to pick up a win. He gave up two hits and two walks, while striking out eight.

Tampa Bay Rays’ Taj Bradley struck out 11 batters over 5 2/3 scoreless innings to also get a win. He allowed three hits and two walks.

Chicago White Sox’s Garrett Crochet allowed two runs on five hits over seven innings, but struck out 11 batters. He did not get a win or loss.

Kansas City Royals’ Seth Lugo tossed six scoreless innings and struck out 10 to pick up a victory. He gave up four hits and one walk along the way.

Minnesota Twins’ Joe Ryan struck out 10 over 5 2/3 innings but didn’t get a decision. He allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits and two hit batters.

Texas Rangers’ Andrew Heaney struck out 10 over seven innings and grabbed a win. He gave up two runs on five hits and a hit batter.

St. Louis Cardinals’ Lance Lynn struck out six over six scoreless innings to earn a win. He allowed two hits and one walk.

Atlanta Braves’ Charlie Morton surrendered just three hits and a walk over 6 1/3 scoreless innings on his way to a win. He struck out seven batters along the way.

Baltimore Orioles’ Albert Suarez tossed six scoreless innings and got a victory. He allowed three hits, while striking out two and walking none.

Rays’ Zach Eflin worked six scoreless innings to pick up a win. He allowed four hits, one walk and a hit batter, while striking out six.

Arizona Diamondbacks’ Zac Gallen worked six scoreless innings and struck out seven on his way to a win. He allowed only one hit and one walk.

Detroit Tigers’ Casey Mize tossed 5 1/3 scoreless innings on his way to a win. He allowed three hits and two walks, while striking out a pair.

Boston Red Sox’s Josh Winckowski worked five scoreless innings and got a win. He surrendered four hits and a hit batter, while striking out one.

Cardinals’ Andre Pallante worked 5 1/3 scoreless innings on his way to a win. He allowed four hits, three walks and a hit batter, but struck out five to work out of trouble.

Toronto Blue Jays’ Chris Bassitt tossed six innings and struck out eight to claim a win. He allowed an unearned run on six hits and two walks.

Washington Nationals’ Jake Irvin allowed one run over six innings to claim a victory. He gave up just one hit and three walks, while striking out five.

Cincinnati Reds’ Frankie Montas took a loss despite allowing one run over six innings. He gave up two hits, three walks and a hit batter, while striking out five.

Twins’ Bailey Ober struck out nine over six innings during a no decision. He allowed two runs (one earned) on two hits and three walks.

Orioles’ Craig Kimbrel and Cardinals’ Ryan Helsley earned two saves each over the weekend.

Kimbrel allowed no hits and two walks, while striking out two over two innings.

Helsley retired all six batters he faced this weekend, striking out half of them.

Cardinals’ Andrew Kittredge and JoJo Romero, Orioles’ Jacob Webb, Cionel Perez and Yennier Cano and Miami Marlins’ A.J. Puk all picked up two holds this weekend.

Kittredge worked an inning, allowing a walk but also striking out a batter. Romero tossed two innings, allowing one walk along the way.

Webb allowed a run on a hit and two walks over 1 1/3 innings, while striking out one. Perez got four outs, striking out a batter to work around a hit and two walks. Cano also got four outs - he allowed a run on a hit and two walks, while striking out two.

Puk allowed a hit and walk over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out two.
