Top Starting Pitchers

St. Louis Cardinals’ Miles Mikolas tossed six scoreless innings, but didn’t earn a decision. He allowed two hits and one walk, while striking out three batters.

New York Yankees’ Gerrit Cole got a win after working six scoreless frames. He gave up one hit and five walks, while punching out two.

Houston Astros’ Spencer Arrighetti also was a winner after working six scoreless innings. He allowed three hits and a walk, while striking out six.

Pittsburgh Pirates’ Paul Skenes also won after tossing six scoreless frames. He allowed two hits and one walk, while punching out nine.

Milwaukee Brewers’ Freddy Peralta didn’t earn a decision after pitching five scoreless frames. He allowed three hits and two walks, while also hitting a batter. He struck out two batters.

Washington Nationals’ Patrick Corbin earned a victory after striking out eight over six innings. He allowed a run on four hits and a walk, while also plunking a batter.

New York Mets’ Luis Severino allowed a run on two hits and three walks over five frames and got the win. He struck out six along the way.

Chicago Cubs’ Justin Steele struck out 10 over seven innings on his way to a win. He gave up two runs on four hits and no walks.

Atlanta Braves’ Spencer Schwellenbach struck out nine over 6 2/3 innings and got a win. He allowed two runs on three hits and one walk.

Oakland Athletics’ Osvaldo Bido earned a win after striking out six over five frames. He gave up a run on two hits and three walks.

Top Relievers

Los Angeles Angels’ Griffin Canning was a bulk pitcher and worked six scoreless innings, but didn’t get a win. He allowed two hits, while striking out six and walking none.

Toronto Blue Jays’ Ryan Yarbrough worked five scoreless innings out of the pen and got a win. He surrendered just three hits, while striking out four and also hitting a batter.

Pittsburgh’s Ben Heller worked two scoreless innings. He allowed two hits and a walk, but struck out four to work out of trouble.

Houston Astros’ Shawn Dubin walked two over his two scoreless frames. He struck out two batters.

Atlanta’s Raisel Iglesias, St. Louis’ Ryan Helsley and Oakland’s Mason Miller all earned saves on the day.

Iglesias struck out the three batters he faced in the ninth inning.

Helsley worked around a hit in his scoreless frame.

Miller also allowed a hit in his outing. He struck out a pair of batters.

Top Hitters

Atlanta’s Adam Duvall, Mets’ Jeff McNeil and Pete Alonso, Pittsburgh’s Bryan De La Cruz, Angels’ Jo Adell, Cubs Miguel Amaya and St. Louis’ Victor Scott II all had three hits on Thursday.

Duvall singled twice and also homered. He drove in a run and scored once.

McNeil singled for all three of his knocks. He drove in a run and scored once. Alonso had the same line as McNeil, but also struck out once.

De La Cruz hit two doubles and a single. He drove in three runs, scored once and also was a strikeout victim.

Adell had two singles and a double. He scored once and was a strikeout victim.

Amaya hit a homer and two singles for the Cubs. He drove in five runs, scored once and was a strikeout victim.

Scott had two singles and a double on the day. He stole a base and scored one run.

Mets’ Francisco Lindor and Jesse Winker, New York Yankees’ Aaron Judge and Cubs’ Dansby Swanson and Nico Hoerner scored two runs each. 

Lindor had a single, double and walk in the contest. Winker singled, doubled and drove in a run.

Judge hit a homer for his lone knock. He walked once and drove in a run.

Swanson hit two singles in his game. He drove in a run, stole two bases and struck out once.

Hoerner also had a pair of singles. He drove in a run, stole one base and struck out once.

Yankees’ Giancarlo Stanton, Washington’s Juan Yepez, Mets’ Mark Vientos and Angels’ Niko Kavadas all drove in three runs.

Stanton hit a homer for the Yankees. He walked once, scored a run and also was a strikeout victim.

Yepez also homered for his lone hit. He scored once and struck out once.

Vientos hit a single and double on his way to three RBIs. He struck out two times.

Kavadas homered for his only hit. He scored one run.

Cleveland Guardians’ Jose Ramirez walked three times and stole a base.

Philadelphia Phillies’ Kyle Schwarber walked twice and struck out two times.

Yankees’ Gleyber Torres had a single and two walks on Thursday. He also struck out two times.

St. Louis’ Lars Nootbaar walked twice in his team’s win.

San Diego Padres’ Mason McCoy had a single and two walks. He also drove in a run, scored one and was a strikeout victim.

Colorado Rockies’ Michael Toglia had a single and two walks. He also scored a run.

St. Louis’ Alec Burleson had two singles and two walks in his game. He also scored a run.

Yankees’ Anthony Volpe hit a double and walked twice. He scored a run, stole a base and struck out once.
