Discussing some of the best pitching performances from July 10.

Twins 3, White Sox 2 (Game 1)

Pablo Lopez started for Minnesota, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out five along the way.

Steven Okert pitched next and got the win. Jorge Alcala and Griffin Jax earned holds before Jhoan Duran picked up his 14th save.

Drew Thorpe started for Chicago, allowing two runs on three hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out one.

Michael Soroka pitched next and took the loss, his 10th of the season. 

Royals 6, Cardinals 4 (Game 1)

Alec Marsh improved to 7-6 after striking out eight over six innings for Kansas City. He gave up three runs on six hits and a walk.

Will Smith and Sam Long earned holds before James McArthur secured his 16th save.

Andre Pallante took the loss after giving up four runs on six hits over 6 1/3 innings. He struck out five.

White Sox 3, Twins 1 (Game 2)

Erick Fedde moved to 7-3 after tossing five scoreless innings for Chicago. He allowed four hits and two walks, while striking out five.

Justin Anderson, Jordan Leasure and John Brebbia all earned holds before Michael Kopech threw an immaculate inning and got his ninth save.

Bailey Ober took the loss and fell to 8-5. He allowed three runs on four hits and one walk, while striking out six over six innings. 

Cubs 4, Orioles 0

Shota Imanaga improved to 8-2 after tossing six scoreless innings. He allowed six hits and a walk, while striking out six. Imanaga has a 2.97 earned run average this season.

Luke Little and Porter Hodge earned holds before Chicago scored again and took away the save chance.

Corbin Burnes took the loss, allowing three runs on nine hits over six innings. He struck out five, walked none and now has a 2.43 ERA.

Tigers 5, Guardians 4

Reese Olson improved to 4-8 after giving up three runs on six hits and a walk over six innings for Detroit. He struck out three and now has a 3.30 ERA.

Tyler Holton and Alex Faedo earned holds before Jason Foley got the final two outs to claim his 15th save.

Tanner Bibee took the loss and fell to 7-4. He surrendered four runs on five hits and three walks, while striking out eight.

Mariners 2, Padres 0

Bryce Miller improved to 7-7 after working six scoreless innings for Seattle. He struck out one while allowing five hits and no walks.

Austin Voth and Ryne Stanek earned holds before Andres Munoz got his 15th save.

Michael King took the loss after striking out nine over six frames. He allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and a walk.

Yankees 2, Rays 1

Marcus Stroman started for New York, giving up a run on seven hits and two walks over 4 1/3 innings. He struck out a pair.

Tim Hill got the win before Luke Weaver and Tommy Kahnle earned holds. Clay Holmes picked up his 20th save and struck out two batters across the four outs he got.

Zach Eflin fell to 5-6 after allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk over seven frames. He struck out six.

Phillies 4, Dodgers 3

Cristopher Sanchez moved to 7-4 after working the first six innings for Philadelphia. He allowed two runs on five hits and a walk, while striking out five.

Orion Kerkering, Matt Strahm and Jose Alvarado earned holds before Jeff Hoffman got his ninth save.

Gavin Stone fell to 9-3 after allowing four runs on nine hits over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out three and walked none.

Athletics 5, Red Sox 2

JP Sears struck out eight over 5 2/3 innings for Oakland. He got the win after allowing a run on four hits and two walks.

Austin Adams, T.J. McFarland and Lucas Erceg earned holds before Mason Miller picked up his 15th save.

Nick Pivetta fell to 4-6 after allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out 10 batters.

Rockies 6, Reds 5

Kyle Freeland got his first win of the season after striking out nine over 6 2/3 innings. He allowed two runs on eight hits and a walk.

Victor Vodnik earned a hold before Jalen Beeks got his ninth save (despite allowing two runs).

Frankie Montas took the loss and fell to 4-7. He allowed five runs on eight hits and two walks, while striking out seven.

Mets 6, Nationals 2

Luis Severino moved to 6-3 after allowing two runs on four hits and three walks over 6 1/3 innings for New York. He struck out four along the way.

Jake Diekman and Danny Young earned holds before Jose Butto picked up his first save.

Patrick Corbin took the loss on the hill. He gave up four runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings, while striking out five.

Royals 8, Cardinals 5 (Game 2)

Michael Wacha improved to 6-6 after working the first five innings for Kansas City. He allowed four runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk, while striking out three.

Angel Zerpa, John Schreiber and Kris Bubic earned holds before James McArthur got his 17th save.

Gordon Graceffo took the loss after allowing three runs on four hits over 3 1/3 innings. He struck out two and walked none.

Astros 9, Marlins 1

Framber Valdez improved to 8-5 on the season after punching out 10 over seven innings. He allowed a run on six hits and a walk.

Bryan Hoeing took the loss after surrendering five runs (four earned) on eight hits and a walk, while striking out one.

Brewers 9, Pirates 0

Tobias Myers worked eight scoreless innings and got the win for Milwaukee. He allowed four hits and a walk, while striking out six. Myers has a 3.13 ERA this season.

Martin Perez fell to 1-5 after allowing five runs on nine hits and three walks over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out five.

Angels 7, Rangers 2

Griffin Canning allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks over 4 1/3 innings in his start against Los Angeles. He struck out three.

Hans Crouse pitched next and got the win. Hunter Strickland and Jose Marte earned holds before the Angels pulled away.

Michael Lorenzen fell to 5-5 after allowing five runs on five hits and four walks over five frames. He struck out three along the way.

Diamondbacks 7, Braves 5

Slade Cecconi pitched the first four innings for Arizona, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks. He struck out three.

Ryan Thompson was charged with a blown save, but also got the win for the D-Backs. Paul Sewald bounced back from some rough outings with a 1-2-3 ninth inning to get his 12th save.

Charlie Morton started for Atlanta, allowing four runs on five hits over 6 1/3 innings. He struck out five and walked none.

Joe Jimenez eventually took the loss.

Blue Jays 10, Giants 6

Chris Bassitt improved to 8-7 after allowing three runs on five hits and four walks. He struck out six over five innings.

Zach Pop earned a hold before Toronto pulled away.

Logan Webb took the loss after giving up seven runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out four.
