After taking a look at the bullpens/closers in the American League, it's time to do the same for National League teams.

We'll do this throughout the season, so keep checking back to FantasySP for more!

Explore the best in-season tool to manage lineup/start decisions including waiver pickups, projections, trade suggestions, trade value charts, rest of season rankings, power rankings, and tons more with Fantasy Assistant. Use our fantasy baseball trade analyzer and trade value charts to break down trade scenarios and weekly projections to find the best fantasy options.

Dodgers

Tanner Scott leads Los Angeles with two saves, but Alex Vesia and Blake Treinen have a save each.

Scott has appeared in five games, striking out four over five frames - he's allowed three runs. Vesia has nine strikeouts over five innings and one run allowed. Treinen has seven punchouts over four scoreless frames.

This looks like a committee to me, and as great as it would be to have relievers from the best team in baseball on your fantasy team, they really are better deep-league options at this point. I still like Scott the best from the Dodgers, but Treinen and Vesia each have decent fantasy value, even if they aren't earning saves all that often.

Kirby Yates has nine punchouts over four scoreless innings for LA. Ben Casparius has six strikeouts over five scoreless frames. Luis Garcia has six strikeouts in five innings as well, but also has allowed four runs (three earned). Anthony Banda has two wins and six punchouts over four scoreless innings.

Padres

Robert Suarez leads San Diego with three saves, while Adrian Morejon has one.

Suarez is the preferred closer and has four strikeouts over three scoreless frames. Morejon has three Ks over 4 2/3 innings, but has allowed a run too.

Jason Adam, Jeremiah Estrada and Wandy Peralta all have four relief appearances on the season. Adam has seven punchouts over 4 1/3 scoreless innings. Estrada has five Ks in 4 1/3 scoreless frames, while Peralta has two strikeouts in 3 1/3 scoreless innings.

Yuki Matsui has seven strikeouts over 3 1/3 innings for the Padres.

Giants

Camilo Doval and Ryan Walker each have two saves for the Giants.

Walker looked like the clear closer coming into the season, but this is looking like a committee early on. Walker has allowed a run and has two strikeouts over three innings. Doval has a strikeout over three scoreless frames.

We'll keep track of this bullpen to see if either guy emerges as the closer/better fantasy asset.

Tyler Rogers has three strikeouts over four scoreless innings for San Fran. Randy Rodriguez has 11 punchouts over three scoreless innings so far.

Diamondbacks

A.J. Puk has earned both of Arizona's saves in the early going. He's struck out five over three innings, but also allowed two runs.

Justin Martinez, another option to close games, has a win and five strikeouts over 2 2/3 scoreless frames.

It might be too early to call Puk the preferred closer, and I think this is still a committee between Puk and Martinez.

Jalen Beeks has four punchouts and a run allowed in 5 1/3 innings already. Shelby Miller has five strikeouts in four scoreless innings, while also earning a win.

Ryne Nelson has five punchouts over four innings in two appearances, but also four runs allowed. Bryce Jarvis has allowed two runs over 2 2/3 innings, but also has five strikeouts.

Rockies

Seth Halvorsen has the lone save for Colorado. He has two strikeouts in his two scoreless innings. Halvorsen might get the save chances for the Rockies, but that's not a very favorable fantasy spot to be in.

No other Colorado reliever has over 2 1/3 innings or three strikeouts.

Phillies

Jose Alvarado has the only Philly save. He's also got a win and 10 punchouts over four innings, but has allowed one run.

Jordan Romano, another option to close, has four strikeouts over three innings, but two runs allowed. Matt Strahm has four punchouts over three scoreless innings.

I think this team will also have a committee in 2025, but we'll track things to see who might emerge.

Marlins

Anthony Bender has the lone Miami save. He has a strikeout over 2 2/3 scoreless innings, while also having a win under his belt.

Lake Bachar has four strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in four appearances, but has surrendered three runs (two earned). Anthony Veneziano has three strikeouts over three innings, and has allowed a run.

I think Bender is the preferred closer, but he's not in a very good fantasy spot on a bad team.

Mets

Edwin Diaz and Huascar Brazoban have a save each for New York.

Diaz is the preferred closer and has two strikeouts over two scoreless innings so far. Brazoban has five punchouts over five scoreless frames.

Nationals

Kyle Finnegan has the only Washington save. He has two strikeouts over two scoreless frames so far.

Lucas Sims has pitched in four games, allowing three runs over 1 2/3 innings. He has just one strikeout as well.

Jose A. Ferrer has five Ks over 3 2/3 innings, but also has allowed four runs (two earned) and has taken a loss.

Braves

The winless Braves obviously have no saves yet.

Closer Raisel Iglesias has taken a loss and allowed a run over two innings, while striking out three.

Dylan Lee has a run allowed and one punchout in four innings pitched. Daysbel Hernandez has a strikeout, but two runs allowed, over three innings.

Enyel De Los Santos, Pierce Johnson and Jose Suarez have four strikeouts each. De Los Santos has allowed a run in three innings, while Johnson has not allowed a run in 2 2/3 innings. Suarez has given up a run across three innings.

Cardinals

Ryan Helsley and Steven Matz have a save each for St. Louis.

Helsey is the preferred closer and has six punchouts over three scoreless innings so far. Matz is a long reliever and has two strikeouts over his four innings worked.

Phil Maton has six Ks over four scoreless innings for St. Louis.

Cubs

Ryan Pressly leads Chicago with two saves. He has a strikeout over his four innings, but also has allowed three runs.

Colin Rea is another long reliever with a save. He has one strikeout over 3 1/3 scoreless frames.

Eli Morgan, Nate Pearson and Porter Hodge have made four appearances each. Morgan has four Ks over 4 2/3 innings, but also six runs allowed. Pearson has three strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings, with five runs allowed, while Hodge has five punchouts over four scoreless frames.

Brewers

Joel Payamps has the only Milwaukee save so far. He has allowed five runs over three innings, while striking out three.

Closer Trevor Megill has five strikeouts over 2 1/3 scoreless frames so far. Bryan Hudson has four Ks over three scoreless innings.

Jared Koenig has pitched in four games, covering 3 1/3 innings. He has two strikeouts and has allowed two runs, but also has a win.

Megill will get the save opportunities just about every time, at least for now.

Reds

Emilio Pagan has the lone Cincinnati save so far. Alexis Diaz is on the 15-day injured list to begin the season, so the Reds' closer role was a committee to open the season.

Pagan has two strikeouts over his three scoreless innings so far. Scott Barlow has pitched in four games, striking out two over 2 2/3 scoreless innings.

Ian Gibaut has four strikeouts in his three innings of work, but has also allowed four runs and taken a loss.

Pirates

Dennis Santana and David Bednar have a save each for Pittsburgh. Bednar was recently sent down to Triple-A, so Santana has been a big waiver wire pickup over the past couple days.

Santana has allowed a run over his 3 1/3 innings, while also striking out three. Bednar allowed four runs (three earned) over just one inning - he struck out one of the nine batters he faced.

Caleb Ferguson, Colin Holderman and Ryan Borucki have all appeared in four games. Ferguson has now allowed a run over four innings, while punching out two. Holderman has surrendered four runs and struck out four over 3 2/3 innings, while Borucki has six Ks over 3 1/3 scoreless innings.

Justin Lawrence has five strikeouts over three frames, while allowing a run.
